If you are selling a lot of products on Amazon, tracking the cost of goods sold is a real headache. With the new Sageseller’s functionality, you can easily upload your cost of goods (COGs) to SageSeller and monitor all your inventory metrics using SageSeller’s Inventory Manager Dashboard.
The cost of goods sold (COGs) is an expense. On Amazon, it is an accounting principle matching the cost of an item and its sale. With the help of this metric, you can track your revenue and profitability in a specific month. It helps you better manage your inventory.

How To Upload the Cost of Goods to SageSeller?
Log in to your SageSeller account and navigate to SageSeller’s Inventory Manager.
In the upper right-hand corner of the page press the “Import of COGs” button.
In the pop-up window press ‘Download sample CSV’ and download SageSeller’s template for the cost of goods data import. The template includes the product’s ASIN, SKU, and cost price
Then fill in your data and upload it to SageSeller. Fill in your ASIN, SKU, and cost price.
Browse the file to upload it to SageSeller.
Click on the ‘Import COGs’ button.
The cost of goods will be updated within an hour.
The uploaded template should match the template the seller downloads from the SageSeller. If the uploaded file contains products, which are not included in the template, the cost of goods will not be accounted for these products.
The cost of goods is accounted for in the calculations on all marketplaces where your items are sold. If the field with the item’s cost of goods in the uploaded file is empty, the item’s cost of goods will not be updated.
